How IP works

Every ticker can be launched on IP exactly once. Launch it first and it's permanently yours inside IP.

The life of a ticker

  1. ${TICKER} · Open

Nobody has launched it on IP.

  2. ${TICKER} · Reserved

Held for you for 30 minutes while you launch. Released if the launch never reaches Solana.

  3. ${TICKER} · Claimed

Launch confirmed on Solana. Locked on IP forever — even for you.

Tickers are compared without the $ and ignoring case — $cat, CAT and Cat are the same ticker.

A claim means

  • Nobody can launch that ticker on IP again — ever.
  • Your IP page shows it as the original, with the mint and launch time.
  • It's recorded against a launch confirmed on Solana.

Rights & permissions

When you launch, you say what the community may do: fan art, derivatives, commercial use, merchandise, and whether credit is required. These are your statements — IP doesn't verify ownership.

Buying or holding the token does not transfer copyright or IP ownership. Any separate rights require explicit legal terms from the creator.

Launching

Every launch creates a new token on pump.fun. Each attempt gets its own deposit address, nothing is counted as launched until Solana confirms it, and a failed attempt is checked on-chain before you can retry — so you never pay twice.
